Barna Kantor, film maker and film editor, founded CINEMAKER in 1996 a filmmaking resource center based in Austin, Texas and serves currently as its executive director.

Prior to Rock Opera Barna produced or co-produced several CINEMAKER film festivals: Reel of Fortune, Reel of Whup-Ass, Attack of the 50 Feet Reel, Fool Monty, Fast Cheap and Out of Focus, Exquisite Corpse, Texas Super 8 Massacre, Cold Turkey and most recently the Golden Arm Film Project. Kantor's short film credit includes: Fourth Quarter, Equipment, Scratch, Burleszk, Albatross and Rack. He has edited several dozen short films, music videos and commercials, and acted in two recent Austin features, Perfect Specimen and Slow Business of Moving.
