I
leave tomorrow to check out the San Francisco
IndieFest. It sounds like it'll be a grand ol time.
Nicole's friend Ruby just rented an apartment
in North Beach and it'll be empty until she shows up on the
16th, so I have a free place to crash.

I'm
hanging out all day at the Lumiere Theater, checking
out all the films. We have our first screening and it goes over
well. There were some people smoking pot during the flick. It
fuckin ruled. I did a Q&A and after which, sold 5 CDs. Ed,
the original guitar player for the Fuckemos, came up to me
in the middle of the Q&A and tried to say something, and
then postured as if he were handing me some weed, but something
went wrong and the hand off failed for reasons that are beyond
me.
I
met Michael Galinski, the director of Radiation
(which screened right before Rock Opera). We hung out
and talked a while. He's from a very similar background and
we hit it off pretty well. He's from New York and it turns out
that not only does he know my Aunt Catherine, but he
also worked on her feature Susan Farrell; Elusive Muse.
Went
to an after party for Existo and met the director
of American Passport, Reed Pagent.

The
second screening went pretty well also. I talked to Richard
Sandler, the New York director of Gods of Times Square.
Then I talked to Kim Bicca, an editor friend of Phillip
Smith (an Austin pal). Then some of Brad's friends
came up and we chatted for a while.
I
met the director of Night Orchid, Mark Atkins
after his screening. He seems like a nice guy.

Nicole
and I missed our plane transfer in Denver due to weather problems
and we had to either wait in the airport until tomorrow or fly
into San Antonio. We flew into San Antonio.
